The Kenya’s Kids Project is a missional outreach ministry that supports the ongoing needs of two orphanages in inland Kenya: Haven Home in Gatab and Grace Oasis in Loiyangalani. The project will partner with churches and individuals to combine resources in order to have a broad reaching global impact. Through the support of these homes hundreds of children will be provided with loving, safe, Christian homes in which to grow up and learn about God’s love for them. Kenya’s Kids Project is providing hope and homes to otherwise forgotten children.
Many people have had the opportunity to sponsor a child through other large relief and development organizations. Although this can be a very rewarding experience for many caring folks, our missionary partners in Kenya have witnessed firsthand the problems that come when some children in a community do not get sponsored. The sponsored kids receive letters and gifts and special treatment, while the unsponsored kids stand by watching. In short, they are left out. This can leave a devastating mark on their little hearts.
The Kenya’s Kids Project does not sponsor individual children, because we do not want to leave even one child out. All of our support is divided equally among the children to provide for their dorm families holistically. We provide food, clothing, medical care and a safe place to live to each and every child that is taken in. How could we choose who got fed and who didn’t? As Jesus says, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40.)
This is a project that has a goal of fully supporting each home and all of their needs. That is why we need your help. In order to fully financially support both of our adopted homes, Grace Oasis and Haven Home, we will continue until we reach our support goal of approximately $5000.00 per month. This breaks down to only $40 per bed per month. Since we have no overhead, fundraising, or administrative costs, 100% of this money will go to these homes. We will support twenty beds for Haven Home and 96 for Grace Oasis.
