Edward lives in a community at the base of the mountain, which is a six-hour walk from Gatab. He has two brothers and one sister. He is the only one to go to school. Both his parents attend a Catholic church in their community, there is no protestant church there although sometimes the elders from Gatab will go there and preach. He appreciates the opportunity at Haven Home to study and enjoys the good food and playing games. His favorite food is cake, which he sometimes gets on the Haven Home Fun Days. He fears lions. Once he was watching his cows and a lion ate one of them!
