Glouria has two brothers and four sisters. All of her sisters are in school (two are in nursery school). Her brothers are too young to go to school. She has an older sister who also is in Haven Home and will graduate this year. She only has a Mom at home and does not know her Dad. He mother has difficulty in caring for all the children and thus two have been in Haven Home. They have only three goats and no cows. On school breaks she cooks the food for her whole family, washes the dishes and clothes, carries firewood, and fetches firewood. She also sometimes comes to the mission station to earn some money for her family to buy food. He favorite food is chapattis, a thick tortilla cooked in much oil. She appreciates Haven Home because she can study and learn the Word of God. She also appreciates the good beds and plenty of blankets!
